PROF. PD RWELAMILA

PD Rwelamila is a Professor of Project Management at the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL), University of South Africa (UNISA). He is also the Chairperson of Tau Pride Projects (Pty) Ltd an Associate of the CSIR (2000-2005) and an appointed member (by the Minister of Public Works) to the statutory South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and Council for the Built Environment (CBE) SACPCMP (2006 -2009). Prof. Rwelamila is a principal Consultant at SOBETHU Consulting.

He received the 2002 Researcher of the year award, Graduate School of Business Leadership, University of South Africa (UNISA). Rwelamila has worked in a number of countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, Zambia, United Conference – University of Arizona, USA), Kingdom and Sweden, and has published widely internationally.

In January 2005 (at the CIB W92 Conference – University of Arizona, USA), Professor Rwelamila was named as the second most cited researcher in project procurement in the world.  Professor Rwelamila has more than 140 published and peer-reviewed journal papers, chapters in books and conference proceedings. Prof Rwelamila is in possession of Masters of Science from Brunel University and Doctor in Philosophy from University of Cape Town.
